The Energy Storage Council hosts regular working groups for member participation.

Depending on the level of membership, these working groups allow for discussions on current industry issues and activities.

In some circumstances where appropriate ESC will invite expert non-members to participate in group meetings.

Member working groups are extremely valuable in shaping the direction and focus of the Energy Storage Council.

Energy Storage Australian Standards Working Group

Developing appropriate standards and guidelines for our industry is one of the Energy Storage Council’s highest priorities.

We are pleased to report that the formal process to develop energy storage standards is underway. Energy Storage Council members have been recognised by Standards Australia as industry experts.

To that end Standards Australia and the Energy Storage Council have formally created an Energy Storage Council/Standards Australia working group (ESCWG).

Engaging Utilities on Energy Storage Working Group

This working group, chaired by CEO John Grimes, focuses on the important and immediate need to engage with utilities in a positive way.

Developing standards and protocols for integrating energy storage into the network is essential as our industry grows.

More member working groups will be established as the ESC continues to grow.
