The Parliamentary Alliance for Research and Innovation (PARI) is a cross-party grouping of MPs and Senators, co-chaired by Western Australian Senators Dio Wang and Linda Reynolds, focusing on the support and promotion of research and innovation in Australia.
The Summit was opened by WA Senator Dio Wang, followed by a keynote address from the Hon Josh Frydenberg MP, Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia who called for bipartisan approach to energy and discussed the importance of battery storage to Australia’s energy future.
The Minister was followed by CEO of the ESC John Grimes, Mark Paterson, Domain Leader – Grids & Renewable Energy Integration, CSIRO and Michelle Taylor, Manager Technology Development, Ergon Energy.
Industry Speakers included Raymond Pratt, CEO of AllGrid Energy; Bruce Ebzery from Redflow Limited; Luke Osborne, COO, Reposit Power; and Phil Livingston, Managing Director of Redback Technologies.

The Summit hosted a delegation of 34 industry representatives and ESC members including: Schneider Electric, Fusion Power Systems, Ecoult, IT Power, Sumitomo Electric, Alpha Technologies and many others.
Attendees had the opportunity for discussion with MPs, Senators and advisers from the major political parties including Former Deputy PM, Warren Truss.
